Magnesia Chrome Brick IntorductionMagnesia-chrome bricks are basic refractory materials primarily composed of magnesium oxide (MgO) and chromium trioxide (Cr₂O₃). They are typically made from high-purity sintered magnesia and chrome ore, mixed in a specific ratio, formed under high pressure, and fired at temperatures between 1500°C and 1800°C. Magnesia-chrome bricks offer both high refractoriness and excellent resistance to thermal shock and slag erosion.

Magnesia Chrome Brick Features
1. High Refractoriness: Due to their primary components being high-melting-point magnesium oxide (2800°C) and chromium oxide (2435°C), magnesia-chrome bricks typically have a refractoriness exceeding 1850°C. 2. Excellent Resistance to Alkaline Slag Attack: Magnesia-chrome bricks are alkaline refractory materials with strong resistance to alkaline slag (such as CaO slag from cement rotary kilns and slag from steel ladles). 3. Excellent Thermal Shock Resistance: Compared to pure magnesia bricks, magnesia-chrome bricks contain a mineral phase with a different thermal expansion coefficient due to the addition of chromium ore. This increases microcracks, effectively absorbing thermal stress and significantly improving thermal shock resistance. 4. High High-Temperature Strength: Magnesia-chrome bricks maintain excellent structural strength and creep resistance even at high temperatures, and are not susceptible to softening and deformation. 5. Certain kiln lining performance: In the cement rotary kiln, it can react with cement raw materials to form a solid "kiln lining" on the surface to protect the brick itself from wear and erosion.
