HR3004RL Schneider HR3000 Guest Room 4 Way Relay Module
The HR3004RL is a four-way relay module of the HR3000 guest room control system, providing the switched outputs that the room actually operates on. This module delivers reliable switching control for lighting and socket circuits in hospitality environments.
Product Overview
Relays are the optimal solution for the majority of a guest room's loads because most lighting and power circuits are not dimmed. The HR3004RL handles ceiling and bathroom lighting, mirror lights, shaver sockets, key card-controlled socket circuits, and ventilation fans through simple, robust relay contacts. With four circuits in one compact module, it matches the typical number of lighting groups required in standard rooms while maintaining efficient capacity utilization across properties.
The module operates from the 12V DC system bus and receives commands from the main module, ensuring centralized room behavior definition with local execution.

System Integration Notes
While relay switching appears straightforward, it can present subtle challenges. Relay modules may switch unintended loads without immediate issues until the load is present and warm. Circuits with significant inrush currents—such as LED drivers, fan motors, or groups of drivers switched together—require special consideration.
Design Recommendation: Splitting large loads across two outputs, where the lighting scheme permits, is the standard mitigation strategy. This approach should be incorporated during design rather than discovered during commissioning.
The division between switched and unswitched sockets should be agreed upon with the hotel operator, as this determines which outlets guests can use when rooms are unoccupied—a policy decision rather than purely electrical consideration.
