The UP 258 series is engineered for all occupancy-based automation scenarios. Typical applications include:

When presence is detected, the device sends ON telegrams to activate lighting or HVAC via the KNX bus. After the programmable hold time expires with no movement detected, an OFF telegram is issued. The integrated lux sensor prevents unnecessary activation when natural daylight is sufficient, delivering measurable energy savings while maintaining optimal comfort.
Fully integrated into KNX scenes and time programs via ETS software for comprehensive smart building automation.
