Product Introduction

Red Film Faced Plywood is a kind of plywood often used in the construction and decoration fields. It is made of multiple thin wood layers glued together, with a red film on the surface. This red film gives it a unique appearance and also provides protection, enhancing the weather resistance and wear resistance of the board. The internal multi-layer structure is arranged in a crisscross way, giving the board high strength and stability and enabling it to withstand certain load and pressure. It is suitable for various uses such as formwork during concrete pouring, wall covering and furniture manufacturing.

Product Installation Guide

Preparation

Before installing Red Film Faced Plywood, check the installation area. Ensure it's dry, flat and free of debris. Prepare the necessary tools like an electric drill, screwdriver, hammer, steel nails, tape measure and pencil. Calculate the required number of plywood panels based on the installation area and prepare some extra in case of unexpected needs.

Panel Treatment

If the edges of the purchased Red Film Faced Plywood are rough, smooth them with a handheld sander or sandpaper to prevent hand or clothing damage during installation. Check the panel surface for flaws or damages. Repair minor issues and replace severely damaged ones.

Cutting and Assembling

Cut the Red Film Faced Plywood according to the actual dimensions of the installation site with a hacksaw or electric saw. Keep the cutting line accurate and straight. For larger installation areas, multiple panels may need to be joined. Use lap or butt joint methods, with an overlap width of more than 5 centimeters to ensure connection stability. Fix the joints with steel nails or screws. The spacing should be moderate, neither too large nor too small, generally about 10 to 15 centimeters apart.

Fixing Panels

If there are embedded parts or wooden keels, place the cut Red Film Faced Plywood on them and drill holes with an electric drill, then fix the panels with screws. The screw length should match the panel thickness, penetrating the panel and reaching a certain depth into the embedded part or wooden keel. If there are no embedded parts or wooden keels, drill holes directly on the wall or ceiling, insert expansion tubes and then fix the panels with screws. Make sure the screws are perpendicular to the panel surface.

Surface Treatment

After all panels are installed, check them as a whole. Ensure each panel is firmly installed and the joints have little or no gaps. If you want to decorate or paint the panel surface, do it after installation. Choose suitable paint or coating and apply evenly on the panel surface. Generally, 2 to 3 coats are needed with appropriate intervals between each coat for thorough drying to achieve better decoration and protection effects.
