The LDR-II Transient Laser Thermal Conductivity Tester is designed for precise measurement of thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity in high thermal conductivity solid materials, including metals, graphite, and similar materials.

Measurement Principle

The instrument uses a high-intensity short-duration energy pulse to irradiate the sample. The temperature change on the back surface is recorded, and the thermal diffusivity (α) and thermal conductivity (λ) are calculated based on the half-heating time using specialized mathematical models.
