Introduction
The motor type test system is primarily designed for conducting type tests on various types of motors, including asynchronous, synchronous, and DC motors. The system comprises a test power supply, a load unit, a control system, a measurement unit, and data analysis/management software. Its performance specifications comply with relevant international and national standards, such as IEC 60034-2-1, GB 755, GB/T 1032, GB/T 1029, GB/T 1311, IEEE 112, and CSA 390.

Main Functions
It provides adjustable test power and load for the motor under test, automatically acquiring and processing data—such as voltage, current, power, winding resistance, rotational speed, torque, and temperature—during type testing. The system tracks and displays various characteristic curves in real-time during the test and generates complete characteristic curves immediately upon test completion. It automatically produces high-quality test reports, allowing users to edit report templates and design report formats.
The test software is independently developed by our company using structured, high-efficiency programming languages, integrating data acquisition and processing. The software system features ease of use, comprehensive functionality, clear prompts, high testing accuracy, and automatic determination of test results, alongside robust fault self-diagnosis and protection capabilities.

Test Items
1. The system transmits all test data to a computer, plots corresponding curves, and supports data storage and printing.
2. The system comes with a full suite of Simplified Chinese software capable of generating motor type test report forms and characteristic curves.

4. Load test: Load voltage, current, power, output torque, and rotational speed.
5. Locked-rotor test: Load voltage, current, power, output torque, and rotational speed.

Key System Features
1. Sampling Time: Sampling time is fully adjustable (20ms–1000ms) to meet user requirements for high-speed measurement.
2.Range and Gear/Pulse Count Settings: Users can configure settings based on the dynamometer's torque range and the number of teeth on the speed gear or optical encoder.
3.Automatic Calibration: In addition to manual calibration functions (including positive full-scale, negative full-scale, and zero adjustment), the system supports fully automated calibration via PC. The process is transparent, and calibration data can be stored, automatically tabulated, and printed.
4.Dynamometer Load Modes: Excitation mode, constant torque mode, constant speed mode, and constant current mode. PID control ensures rapid dynamic response and stable load operation.
5.Synchronized Sampling of Motor Input and Output Parameters: Simultaneous sampling of input voltage, current, power, power factor, and frequency alongside output torque, speed, input power, and efficiency ensures data consistency.
6.Production Line Testing: To meet rising standards for motor quality control, the system measures and controls output parameters (torque, speed, output power, efficiency) in addition to input parameters during factory testing. It automatically and sequentially measures input voltage, current, and power, as well as output torque, speed, power, and efficiency—under both forward and reverse rotation—across no-load, load (or multi-point load), and locked-rotor states. Developed over years of research, the system features unique graphical and curve simulation capabilities and utilizes an optimal interval-based averaging algorithm. It also automatically determines "OK" or "NG" status based on user-defined upper and lower limits. This function ensures excellent data repeatability and provides an intuitive way to detect anomalies in test data caused by motor installation or testing issues.
7.Dynamometer Loading Modes: In addition to the traditional manual excitation loading method, this system offers various automatic loading modes: fixed excitation increment, fixed torque increment, fixed speed increment, fixed torque, fixed speed, and fixed slope loading.
8.Curve Plotting and Fitting: The system meets testing requirements for various motors and test protocols. It plots raw characteristic curves and fitted curves for various parameters, and automatically generates data for key operating points: no-load (current, speed), maximum torque (voltage, current, speed, efficiency, output power), peak efficiency (speed, torque, current, output power), and maximum output power (speed, torque, current, output power).
9. Reporting and Query Functions: Multiple curves can be plotted on the same set of axes, facilitating customer analysis of product consistency and repeatability.
10. Robust System Self-Test and Rapid On-Site Fault Diagnosis: These are essential capabilities for a new-generation, high-performance dynamometer system. We have introduced a portable signal testing tool that allows for rapid on-site fault identification by measuring input and output signals across various system modules (such as sensors, data acquisition boards, and dynamometer controllers), thereby significantly enhancing service capabilities and efficiency.
11. Innovative Anti-Interference and Reliability Design: The system ensures reliability and immunity to interference through the application of multi-level Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) technologies—including grounding, shielding, isolation, and filtering—combined with superior manufacturing processes. It operates stably and reliably even in environments characterized by electrical noise, sparks, high-frequency signals, high voltage, and high-power surges. This is particularly crucial given the prevalence of electromagnetic radiation from high-frequency power electronic devices in modern operating environments.
12. Next-generation, high-quality dynamometer systems are designed to meet current requirements for motor energy efficiency certification and high-precision testing; consequently, ensuring consistent overall system accuracy and researching measurement repeatability are critical aspects of system development. Given the specific operating conditions—where air conditioning is often unavailable and ambient temperatures cannot be strictly controlled—it is essential to extend the operating temperature range (specifically 0°C to 50°C) within which all system modules and instruments maintain their rated measurement accuracy. This addresses a common issue often overlooked by users: poor repeatability in efficiency measurements due to seasonal temperature fluctuations (e.g., between summer and winter).
