Testing Principle
Uses the airflow method to measure the Micronaire value (an indicator of cotton maturity). When air at a specific pressure is applied to a cotton sample, the rate of airflow varies depending on the cotton's fineness; by measuring this airflow rate, the corresponding Micronaire value can be determined.
Technical Features
1. Employs a high-precision, wide-range electronic flow sensor. It offers a broad Micronaire measurement range (2.7–7.0), capable of testing virtually all cotton varieties on the market; it is currently the instrument with the widest Micronaire measurement range using the airflow method.
2. One-touch testing: After loading the sample, a single button press initiates rapid testing. The instrument features a USB interface; included software allows for statistical analysis and printing of standard test reports, as well as saving reports in Excel format.
3. Convenient calibration: Rapid calibration is performed using standard cotton samples. Once calibrated, the instrument can accurately measure Micronaire values even in non-standard laboratory environments.
