I. Main Purpose and Application Scope
The metal wire repeated bending tester is primarily designed for repeated bending tests on metal wires with diameters up to 10 mm. This machine has been developed in strict accordance with GB/T238-2013 "Test Method for Repeated Bending of Metallic Wire" and GB/T235-2013 "Test Method for Repeated Bending of Thin Plates and Strips with Thickness Equal to or Less Than 3 mm." It is mainly used for conducting repeated bending tests on metal wires (or sheets) to evaluate their ability to withstand plastic deformation under repeated bending and to detect any resulting defects. The equipment meets the requirement of applying a specified tension force to specimens during arbitration testing.
This machine is widely used by manufacturers and testing institutions in industries such as rod production, steel, construction, wire, electrical wires, and cables.
II. Working Principle
The tester consists primarily of a main unit and an electrical control system. It applies test torque through mechanical transmission. A specimen of specified diameter or thickness is inserted through a guide sleeve and clamped between two jaws of defined dimensions. Pressing a button causes the specimen to bend back and forth at 90 degrees repeatedly. A photoelectric switch detects and counts the number of bending cycles. When the specimen breaks, the machine automatically stops, and the LCD touch-screen controller displays and records the total number of bending cycles.
