AS 1334.10 specifies a method for determining the flammability and flame propagation characteristics of horizontal conveyor belt specimens.

Within the specified time, the end of the horizontally oriented conveyor belt specimen is exposed to the flame from the designated gas burner, and the duration for which the burner flame is removed is measured. After the flame disappears, a stream of air passes through the specimen to measure the duration of the afterglow.

Generally, these test results do not indicate the fire hazard of the material or product under actual fire conditions. Therefore, without considering other supporting information, they should not be applied to the assessment of fire hazard.

The application of the test results can be used to determine the flammability and flame propagation characteristics of conveyor belt materials. However, it must be emphasized that this test does not indicate the presence of fire hazard in the materials actually used. The use and modification of materials during the manufacturing process determine the fire hazard of the final product. This test can be used to specify the flammability and flame propagation in the standards for raw materials or conveyor belt products.

Sample Preparation

Acceptance Test: Four samples should be prepared according to the full thickness of the belt, with a length of 150mm and a width of 13mm. Two samples should be cut parallel to the longitudinal direction of the belt, and two more samples should be cut parallel to the transverse direction of the belt.

Type Approval: Ten samples with a length of 150mm and a width of 13mm should be prepared according to the full thickness of the belt. Five samples should be cut parallel to the longitudinal direction of the belt, and another five samples should be cut parallel to the transverse direction of the belt.

2.1 Interface Introduction

1. Ta - The time for applying the flame (you can directly click on the number to enter the keyboard interface to modify the time);

2. T1 - Records the duration of the test flame's continuous burning;

3. T2 - Records the duration of the test afterglow;

4. Start - Press once and the Bunsen burner moves towards the sample to begin the test;

5. Stop - Press once and the Bunsen burner retreats;

6. Exhaust - Press once and the exhaust fan starts to exhaust;

7. Gas - Press to turn on the gas supply;

8. Ignition - Press once to automatically ignite three times;

9. Save - Save the current test data;

10. Left - When the aluminum toothed bar is placed in the motor slot, press it to make the toothed bar move to the right;

11. Right - When the aluminum toothed bar is placed in the motor slot, press it to make the toothed bar move to the right;

12. Timing 1 - After pressing, the T1 time stops. When the Timing 2 is on, press again to start accumulating the time for T2;

13. Timing 2 - When Timing 1 is on, press once to start timing for T2, and press again to end the timing;

14. Position Adjustment - Used to adjust the position of the Bunsen burner relative to the sample.
