Application range
Suitable for testing the combustion rate of flammable gases released during battery thermal runaway, using the vertical tube method.
Executive standard
2.1 Complies with UL 9540A, "Standard for Safety—Test Method for Evaluating Thermal Runaway Fire Propagation in Battery Energy Storage Systems," Appendix A.2.2.1 a), measuring flame spread rate using the vertical tube method;
2.2 Complies with ISO 817:2016 "Refrigerants—Designations, symbols and safety classification," Appendix C, "Test method for measuring flammable gas flame propagation velocity."
2.3 Measured basic burning velocity by the vertical tube method in accordance with Section 6 on safety group classification of ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 34-2019, "Designation and Safety Classification of Refrigerants."
Main features
3.1 Automatically completes the testing process, automatically records raw data and images, and evaluates test results
3.2 Equipped with an explosion-proof solenoid shut-off valve capable of withstanding instantaneous pressure surges from 0 to 20 bar, with an explosion-proof rating of NEMA7
3.3 Employing visual image detection technology, the CCD camera records the flame condition in real time, and flame morphology is extracted through image processing algorithms to calculate the flame combustion rate.
3.4 The software features an interface for pressure sensor calibration and correction.
3.5 The test chamber is treated as a "dark room" to avoid interference from external light and ensure the accuracy of flame detection.
3.6 Supports remote ignition via remote control, ensuring the safety of test personnel
