Product Introduction
The LR-SCT short-distance compression tester quickly measures the compressive strength of corrugated cardboard and corrugated paper. Compressive strength determines the stackability of corrugated boxes. The purpose of measuring compressive strength is to help manufacturers produce high-strength boxes using minimal raw materials.
Working Principle
A 15 mm wide specimen is compressed between two jaws spaced 0.7 mm apart until failure, measuring the maximum compressive force and calculating the compression strength.
Testing Method
This instrument employs the Short Span Compression Test (SCT), which is the optimal method for evaluating and optimizing the compressive strength of kraft paper and corrugated board.

Product Features
1. The high-precision force sensor is adopted, and the accuracy at factory is controlled within <0.5%, which is superior to the ISO standard of ±1%.
2. The precise ball screw transmission, aluminum alloy panel, high-quality stainless steel chuck and reasonable design ensure the durability of this instrument.
3. The high-definition touch screen display and friendly human-machine interface operation. The test is completed automatically, with statistical processing function of test data, micro printer output, and also can be operated through connecting to a computer. When connected to the computer, in addition to automatically storing the results, it can also display the compression curve and save it.
4. High-performance stepper motor and American chip control are adopted to ensure the precise transmission of the instrument and fast and efficient during testing.
5. The instrument is specially equipped with calibration programs to facilitate calibration by the metrology and calibration departments (third parties). The calibration weights are provided with the instrument, and users can easily calibrate the instrument themselves.
