Introduction to Screening Machines
Standard vibrating screening machines utilize a vibrating motor as their source of vibration. The vibrations from this motor cause the base of the machine to oscillate; this motion is then transmitted to the standard test sieves mounted on the base. As a result, material particles smaller than the mesh openings of a given sieve pass through to the layer below. Through this multi-layered screening process, each sieve retains only particles of a specific size. This enables the separation of materials by particle size, the determination of their particle-size distribution, and the effective screening, classification, and filtration of the materials within the test sieves.
Applications
Widely used in fields such as agricultural research, mining, construction, chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, and food processing. To prevent sample contamination, nylon mesh screens can be selected for the sieving process.
