1. Product Overview

This product is a horizontal alumina ball mill tank specifically designed for laboratory roller mills that utilize a screw-press mechanism for securing and sealing the jar. 2. Core Design & Sealing Mechanism

The key feature of this jar is its screw-press compatibility:

Screw-Press Locking System:

The jar is designed to be placed horizontally between two rotating rollers. A central threaded screw (or multiple screws on the pressure plate) is manually turned to press a metal pressure plate firmly against the end of the jar.

Function:
  • Secures the Jar: Holds it firmly in place against the rotating rollers, ensuring it turns without slipping.
  • Creates the Seal: Compresses the lid tightly against the jar body (via an internal O-ring) to create a hermetic seal, preventing leakage of solvents or dust.

6. Usage Instructions

  3. Mounting: Place the assembled jar horizontally into the mill between the two rollers.
  4. Pressing: Turn the central screw handle clockwise to apply pressure until the jar is firmly secured and will rotate with the rollers without slipping.
  5. Process: Start the mill and run for the required duration.
  6. Unloading: After stopping, loosen the screw to release pressure before removing the jar.

Note: Always ensure the jar and locking mechanism are clean and undamaged before use. Avoid over-tightening the screw, as excessive pressure could potentially damage the ceramic.
