I. Petroleum wax penetrometer ASTM D1321

This petroleum wax penetrometer is suitable for detecting the penetration of solid and semi solid asphalt materials with a penetration of less than 350, and is also suitable for asphalt materials with a penetration of 350-500.

II. Main features

1. The petroleum wax penetrometer includes one electric actuator and one manual gear, which can adjust the position of the cone plate on the asphalt sample: digital display of results, independent electronic timer; In addition, temperature controlled water baths of different sizes can be provided, and needle penetration testing can be conducted in water at 25ºCor other temperatures through connecting the baths and conversion plates;
2. Sturdy flat aluminum plate with central equipment, level gauge, and positioning screws;
3. Decoder and 50mm needle penetration motion range;
4. Electronic programming timer can set the needle penetration time;
5. The needle complies with ASTM/IP, with a total weight of 2.5 g;
6. 1 brass sample shaper, inner diameter 25.4mm, height 31.8mm, wall thickness 3.2mm;
7. The time controller adopts digital display, with a control time range of 0-9 minutes and 59 seconds, and an accuracy of ± 0.1 seconds.
8. Digital display depth measurement mechanism, easy to use, good repeatability, and high measurement accuracy;
9. The maximum measurable needle penetration value shall not be less than 620, which can adapt to various test requirements;
10. There are two types of bracket movement: fast and micro, which are convenient for aligning the needle tip with the surface of the sample during testing operations;
11. The bracket has a self locking function that can be securely stopped at any position.
12. The petroleum wax penetrometer is equipped with a table level adjustment mechanism for easy adjustment;
13. The petroleum wax penetrometer is equipped with a manual release mechanism for needle penetration unit, it can ensure normal operation even when automatic control release time is not used.
