I. Certification Process Overview
The Saudi SABER certification system is divided into two core stages to ensure that products comply with Saudi Standards (SASO) from design to shipment:
1. PC Certificate (Product Certificate) Application
Submit technical documents (test reports, product photos, etc.) to the certification body. Once the documents are reviewed and approved, sample testing will be arranged if applicable. Upon passing, a PC certificate valid for one year will be issued.
Before shipment, apply for the SC certificate using the obtained PC certificate and the commercial invoice. This certificate serves as a mandatory customs clearance credential for Saudi Customs and is issued on a per-shipment basis.
II. Core Application Document List
To ensure a smooth certification process, please prepare the following technical documents and samples in advance:
Technical Documents: Detailed product manual (including functional descriptions and technical parameters), circuit diagrams, PCB layout diagrams, and a list of key components (BOM).
Physical Samples: Finished product samples, which must include related accessories such as the charging dock and power adapter.
III. Important Compliance Tips
Wireless Function Compliance: If the product features Bluetooth functionality, although BQB certification is not a mandatory requirement in Saudi Arabia, it must be completed in advance if the Bluetooth logo is used on the product appearance or packaging to avoid customs clearance delays.
Timeline Recommendation: Considering the time required for testing and document review, it is recommended that companies reserve 1-2 months to complete the entire certification process to avoid affecting shipment schedules.
