Product Introduction

 

  SH112C Fully Automatic Kinematic Viscometer Compliant with ASTM D445, Equipped with 2 Capillary Viscometer Units
The SH112C automatic kinematic viscometer is engineered and produced in strict compliance with GB/T265 and ASTM D445 international standards. It delivers identical measurement accuracy for both transparent and opaque liquids, including crude oil, light fuel oils, lubricating oils, chemical additives and silicone fluids. This instrument is also ideally suited for determining the kinematic viscosity of samples with high wax content or those containing insoluble components at ambient temperatures. The entire workflow—automatic sample injection, precise temperature stabilization, viscosity testing, viscometer cleaning and drying—requires no manual intervention during operation. Once the test parameters are configured, operators may leave the workstation, and the instrument will autonomously complete all procedures.
 

Operating Principle

 

  The test sample is introduced into a pre-selected capillary viscometer, which is fully submerged in a thermostatically controlled liquid bath. The sample is drawn up to the upper calibration mark of the capillary. As the meniscus of the flowing sample passes the upper calibration line, the instrument initiates time recording. Timing ceases automatically when the meniscus reaches the lower calibration mark. The kinematic viscosity of the sample is then calculated instantly by the built-in microprocessor based on the measured flow time and pre-calibrated viscometer constant.

  6. Fitted with LED soft illumination that provides uniform, glare-free lighting for clear sample observation.
  7. Features built-in memory for storing calibration parameters of multiple capillary viscometers.
  8. Equipped with a standard thermal micro-printer for automatic printing of measurement results.
  9. Compliant test methods: GB/T265, ASTM D445.
  10. Temperature control range: Ambient temperature +5°C to 100.0°C; Temperature control accuracy: ±0.1°C.
  11. Viscosity measurement range: 0.6–1700 mm²/s.
  12. Timing range: 0.0 seconds to 999.9 seconds.
  13. Sample throughput: 2 simultaneous capillary viscometer positions (please specify required viscosity ranges when placing orders).
  14. Temperature sensing element: High-precision Pt100 platinum resistance thermometer.
  15. Data storage: Capable of storing up to 199 sets of historical test results for convenient review and retrieval.
  16. Data export: Optional USB flash drive output function allows transferring test data to personal computers for permanent archiving.

  18. Viscometer holder: Constructed entirely from 304 stainless steel, incorporating high and low temperature resistant graphite sliding bearing mechanisms.
  19. Expandable memory: The instrument's internal data storage can be upgraded to a maximum capacity of 16GB.
  20. Standard printing: Integrated thermal micro-printer delivers automatic, on-demand printing of measurement reports.
  21. Remote upgrade capability: Equipped with TCP network transmission functionality, enabling remote software updates and maintenance.
