What is the status of the skimmer pipe when it is not actively skimming? How does it start working?
During normal operation when not actively discharging slag, the skimmer pipe opening faces upwards. When skimming is required, the drive mechanism rotates the slotted pipe to submerge the opening just below the oil layer.
