The flat bar screen is a manual device used as a temporary coarse or fine screen in drinking water and municipal wastewater plants with low debris volumes. Made of a steel frame and bars, it intercepts debris larger than the gap, which is manually removed.
Independently developed by our company, this product integrates advanced European and domestic technologies. After years of refinement, it is now widely applied in water and drainage projects.
For a complete pretreatment workflow, it can be combined with a mechanical screen, screw conveyor, and screw press. Together, they efficiently extract floating and settled debris, making the system ideal for:
Wastewater enters the center and flows outward, with debris intercepted on the inner panels. The moving panels elevate the waste to a discharge unit, where a low-pressure spray system actively flushes the mesh to ensure continuous self-cleaning.
Above the screen, spray nozzles wash the panels at the discharge point, equipped with a pressure switch that automatically halts operation during low water flow. Functioning as a drum basket, the system uses a rotating rake—triggered by a preset water level—to lift debris to the top.
A scraper clears the rake teeth, dropping waste into a trough. A built-in screw conveyor then transports and presses the debris. The final dewatered waste achieves a 20%-50% solid content, drastically reducing disposal costs and eliminating secondary pollution.
