Mixing is a core process in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. Traditional vertical-shaft and horizontal mixers are often limited by structural designs, leading to high energy consumption and mixing dead zones that increase operating costs and affect water quality. The hyperboloid mixer effectively eliminates blind spots, reduces energy use, and improves overall treatment efficiency.
G/QSJ series mixers consist of a drive unit, hyperboloid impeller, and mounting accessories. Two installation types are available:
Drive unit is bridge-mounted; power is transmitted via a drive shaft. Ideal for high-solids, high-temperature, or abrasive media. Features a self-aligning impeller for stable operation. Gearbox noise < 60dB.
Bridge-free; uses self-weight positioning. Flexible setup for deep, stable, and non-abrasive water. Suitable for media < 40°C and pH 6-9. Features silent operation and zero visual obstruction.
The G/QSJ series features a unique hyperboloid impeller formed by rotating a hyperbola around its axis, seamlessly integrating fluid characteristics with mechanical motion. Balanced intake design minimizes turbulence and ensures uniform pressure distribution. Eight integrated guide vanes convert potential energy and centrifugal force into powerful kinetic energy, creating intense cross-flow in both axial and radial directions. Near-bottom installation directly prevents solids from settling and eliminates mixing dead zones.
The mixer can be lowered into position via crane or lifting davit, relying on its self-weight for positioning. Secure the cables as shown in the wet installation diagram.
Secure the gearbox support to the service bridge, then install the drive shaft and impeller assembly in sequence. Secure all cables according to the dry installation diagram.
Primarily suitable for sites that lack a solid, level tank bottom and where installing a bridge walkway is impractical.
G/QSJ series high-efficiency mixers are designed for low-viscosity liquid-liquid, solid-liquid, and gas-liquid mixing. Compatible with circular, square, and rectangular tanks (modular layout). This equipment eliminates dead zones common in traditional blade mixers and enhances gas-liquid mixing in aeration processes.
Selection for G/QSJ series is identical, differing only in installation. It depends on tank geometry, volume, depth, media concentration, temperature, and pH. The primary criterion is the Effective Service Area. For rectangular tanks, maintain a length-to-width ratio < 2m and divide the tank into equal units to determine the required quantity. If water depth > 5m or concentration is high, increase motor power or speed to ensure optimal mixing performance. Dry installation is recommended for standard conditions. Submersible type is preferred for noise-sensitive or visual-priority sites.
