Working Theory
1. Vascular Lesion Treatment
The 980nm laser wavelength is selectively absorbed by hemoglobin and vascular porphyrins, making it ideal for treating spider veins, telangiectasia, and cherry angiomas. The absorbed laser energy causes coagulation of blood vessels, which are then naturally absorbed by the body. A precision-focused handpiece concentrates the beam within a 0.2–0.5mm diameter, ensuring accurate targeting of affected vessels while protecting surrounding skin. Additionally, it stimulates collagen regeneration, improving skin elasticity and reducing recurrence.
2. Nail Fungus Removal (Onychomycosis)
The 980nm diode laser effectively penetrates through the nail plate and reaches the nail bed, where it targets fungal infections such as those caused by Trichophyton rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, and Candida albicans. The laser heat destroys fungal cells without harming surrounding tissue. Regular sessions lead to a clearer, healthier nail appearance over time.
3. Pain Therapy and Physical Rehabilitation
Laser energy from the 980nm device penetrates deep into soft tissue, where it is absorbed by the mitochondria of cells, stimulating the production of ATP (cellular energy). This leads to accelerated tissue repair, reduced inflammation, and effective pain relief. It is widely used in physiotherapy clinics for treating chronic pain, muscle injuries, and joint disorders.
4. Laser Lipolysis
In fat reduction treatments, the 980nm laser is delivered through a 1mm microcannula containing a 600μm optical fiber. The laser light heats and liquefies fat cells, while also contracting collagen fibers and sealing small blood vessels to reduce bleeding and swelling. The result is effective body contouring, skin tightening, and minimally invasive fat removal.
