The radial drilling machine is commonly used in single piece and small to medium batch production for processing large and heavy workpieces with various holes. It has a wide range of applications and can be used to drill screw holes, threaded bottom holes, and oil holes on large workpieces. It is mainly composed of a base, column, rocker arm, spindle box, spindle worktable, etc. When the machine is in operation, the rocker arm rotates around the column, and the spindle box moves radially along the arm. This allows the drill to align with the axis of each hole to be processed. The machine is flexible in its usage. Generally, the workpiece is clamped on the workbench during drilling. For large work-pieces, they can be clamped on the base of the drilling machine. Depending on the height of the workpiece, the locking device can be loosened to allow the rocker arm to move up and down along the column to adjust the height of the head stock and drill.
