FSTN Technology:
FSTN is a refinement of the STN technology, where a compensating film is applied to the display to improve the optical performance. This film layer compensates for some of the optical limitations of the twisted nematic liquid crystals, especially in terms of contrast and viewing angles.
The compensating film helps enhance the brightness and reduce color distortion, resulting in a more readable display, particularly in low-light environments.
In FSTN LCDs, the liquid crystals are still twisted, but the addition of the film layer improves how the liquid crystals interact with light, resulting in a clearer and sharper display.
