Q1: What is the difference between WS2811 and WS2812B?
A1: The main difference is the chip location:

WS2811: The control chip is separate from the LED. Usually uses 3 LEDs per 1 chip (so 3 LEDs act as one pixel). It runs on 12V. Or we have DC24V, 6 LEDs per 1 chip model.

WS2812B: The chip is integrated into the LED package. Every LED is individually addressable. It runs on 5V.

For IP68 strips: WS2811 (12V) is much better for long runs because 12V suffers less voltage drop than 5V.

Q2: How do I power a long WS2811 IP68 strip (12V)?
A2: Because WS2811 runs on 12V, you can run longer distances without "injecting" power.

No injection needed: Approx. 5–10 meters (16–33 ft).

Injection needed: Beyond 10 meters, inject 12V power at both ends or every 5-10 meters to prevent colour fading (yellowing whites) at the tail.

Q3: Can I cut the IP68 strip? How do I waterproof the cut line?
A3: Yes, you can cut at the designated copper pads (usually every 3 LEDs). To re-waterproof the cut edge:

Apply a drop of super glue to the cut silicone edge to seal the internal PCB.

Cover the cut and soldered wires with Glue-filled Heatshrink Tubing.

Q4: What glue/adhesive is used for IP68 strips?
A4: Full Potting high-quality silicone resin inside a silicone tube.
Q5: What are the payment terms and delivery time for these LED strip lights?
