The Type of Lit Channel Letters
There are three major types of illuminated Building Channel Letters: Front Lit Channel Letter Sign, Halo Lit/ Reverse / Backlit Letter Signage, Both Front Back Lit Channel Letters also called Dual Lit Channel Letters. As the name implies, these letters combine the last two kinds of face lit and backlit channel letters. The main difference between the first two types is the direction of the lighting. The third type is a combination of the two. Front & Back-lit sign letters are constructed with an illuminated face and a “halo” effect in the background. This type of three-dimensional signage provides intense illumination and a halo effect making it very popular because of its striking presence. Custom fonts, sizes and, colors, as well as graphic elements, can be created producing unique signs.
The letters are made using acrylic faces and aluminum returns. Just as with standard channel letters, Front/Backlit channel letters can be made in any color combination.
