Product Overview

This 48V 20Ah lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery is a compact energy storage unit designed for microgrid systems, small-scale solar installations, telecom backup, and distributed power applications. With a total energy capacity of 960Wh, it provides stable DC power output for systems requiring reliable low-capacity storage with high safety performance.

Built with an integrated Battery Management System (BMS), the unit ensures safe operation, stable voltage control, and efficient energy management. It is suitable for both standalone use and modular expansion in parallel or series configurations.

Core Features

The battery is based on LiFePO4 chemistry, offering strong thermal stability, high safety, and long cycle life. It is designed for frequent charge and discharge cycles, making it suitable for renewable energy storage and backup systems.

With high conversion efficiency and low internal resistance, the system delivers stable output performance even under continuous operation. The compact design makes it suitable for installations where space is limited, such as rack-mounted systems or distributed energy cabinets.

Communication interfaces including RS485 and RS232 enable system-level monitoring and integration into larger energy management platforms.

Electrical Performance

The battery operates at a nominal voltage of 48V with a rated capacity of 20Ah, providing a total energy output of 960Wh. Internal resistance is maintained at ≤30mΩ, ensuring efficient current delivery and reduced energy loss during operation.

Energy conversion efficiency reaches ≥98%, while self-discharge remains below 5% per month, making it suitable for standby and backup applications. The system supports flexible configuration with up to 15S series and 3P parallel expansion depending on system design requirements.

Discharge Performance

The battery supports a continuous discharge current of 20A, making it suitable for low-to-medium power applications such as microgrid storage and telecom systems. It can also handle short pulse discharge currents up to 25A for up to 10 seconds.

The recommended discharge cut-off voltage is 37.5V, which is also the BMS protection threshold. The system automatically reconnects at 40.5V once voltage recovers. In case of abnormal short-circuit conditions, protection is activated within 300–800 microseconds to ensure system safety.

Charging System

Charging is controlled using a CC-CV algorithm to ensure stable and safe energy storage. The charging voltage range is set between 53.25V and 54.75V, while the recommended float voltage is 50.6V to 51.75V for long-term maintenance charging.

The recommended charging current is 10A for optimal cycle life, while the maximum charging current is 20A for faster charging requirements. The BMS charging cut-off voltage is set at 54.75V to prevent overcharging.

Temperature Adaptability

The battery is designed for stable operation across a wide environmental range. It supports discharge temperatures from -20°C to 60°C and charging temperatures from 0°C to 55°C. Storage temperature range is -20°C to 60°C.

The BMS includes high-temperature protection that activates at 60°C to prevent thermal damage and ensure system reliability under extreme operating conditions.

Mechanical Design

The battery is housed in a SPCC steel enclosure with compact dimensions of 442 × 245 × 88mm and a total weight of approximately 13kg. The structure is optimized for rack-style or cabinet integration in energy storage systems.

It uses M4 terminals for electrical connection and provides IP30 protection, making it suitable for indoor or protected cabinet installations.

Cycle Life and Reliability

This LiFePO4 battery is rated for more than 2000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge under 1C conditions. It offers stable long-term performance and reduced maintenance requirements compared with traditional battery technologies.
