The typical estimated life of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries is 5-8 years, or 2000 to 5000 charge cycles, depending on specific usage conditions such as depth of discharge, working current rate, working temperature, and whether a balancer is used.
Q3: Can I use a normal solar controller to charge LiFePO4/Lithium Ion batteries with PCB?
For LiFePO4/Lithium Ion batteries, we always recommend using a LiFePO4/Lithium Ion solar controller. Lead Acid solar controllers constantly provide pulse current to the battery, which may damage the PCB over time and compromise battery protection.
