3.8V Lithium Battery: The nominal discharge platform voltage is 3.8V, with some models reaching a full charge voltage of 4.35V. The discharge cutoff voltage is still mostly set at 3.0V or slightly higher.
3.8V batteries typically use advanced cathode materials such as high-nickel ternary lithium batteries, allowing them to store more energy in the same volume or weight, resulting in higher energy density. They are suitable for devices with high battery life requirements.
