The Arcfox Koala S is a family MPV built for the Chinese market, and its tail gate is the largest panel on the car: deep, wide and fitted with a powered latch on higher trims but with gas struts on the entry versions. Owners who carry a stroller, a cooler box or a week of shopping know the problem. The gate is tall, the handle sits high, and on a slope the panel can swing shut while both hands are full.
This retrofit brings the missing function to the base car and adds remote operation to the higher trim. Two actuators replace the struts at the factory ball studs, a controller is tucked behind the rear quarter trim, and the harness connects through the original plug. No hole is drilled, no wire is cut, and the original struts can go back on when the vehicle is sold.
Electric tailgate conversion set that respects the MPV geometry. The gate on a Koala S is broad and heavy, so the actuators are rated at 780 N each and paired for a panel of up to 58 kg. Lifting speed is moderate and the last section is damped, which keeps a big flat gate from swaying on its hinges. Families notice the difference when the boot is loaded to the roofline.
Auto open trunk mechanism kit on the original key. Long press to open, long press to close, and the tail gate button keeps working as an electric trigger. Nothing new has to be paired, charged or explained to a second driver, and no coding session is needed at a dealer, which matters for imported cars far from a service centre.
Car electric trunk lift package with practical safety cut outs. Reverse on contact stops the gate against an arm, a pram handle or a low ceiling beam, current is limited at the end of travel, a park interlock blocks opening while the car is moving, and the opening height can be stored for a garage at home. A 30A fuse protects the circuit.
