Chemical dosing system is a complete set of equipment with dosing, mixing, transporting liquid and automatic control. It is also called chemical feed system or dosing machine.

 

Chemical dosing is the adding of chemicals into water/fluid or sludge to achieve required conditioning. This would make the treatment effective by various mechanisms such as charge neutralisation, settling of solids etc.

 

The Automatic Dosing System (ADS) is an electronically-operated dispenser that accurately and consistently applies your choice of specially-formulated water treatments to your water feature. The automatic dosing process eliminates the guesswork and routine associated with adding water treatments manually.

 

Process description
 
A dosing pump draws a measured amount of liquid into its chamber and injects the chemical into a tank or pipe that contains the fluid that is being dosed. It's powered by an electric motor or an air actuator and has a controller that turns the pump on and off and manages the flow rate.
