Pneumatic rubber fenders, also known as Yokohama fenders, are manufactured from rubber and multiple layers of rubber-dipped tire fabric. They serve as leading anti-collision devices for marine applications worldwide.
These floating pneumatic rubber fenders are constructed from synthetic-cord-reinforced rubber sheets with compressed air inside. The internal air enables flotation on water and provides shock absorption between ships (ship-to-ship) or between ships and berthing structures during docking operations.

Zhonghaihang Pneumatic Rubber Fenders consist of outer rubber, reinforcement synthetic-tire-cord layer, and inner rubber, all firmly vulcanized together.
Outer Rubber: Protects cord layers and inner rubber from abrasion and external forces with sufficient tensile and tear resistance strength
Reinforcement Layer: Synthetic-tire-cord layer strong enough to maintain internal air pressure
Inner Rubber: Seals pressurized air inside the fender
Safety Features: Fenders of 2500mm diameter and larger include safety valves for pressure release during accidental over-compression
Usage Precautions
Maintain fender pressure within ±5% of standard air pressure
Check air pressure every three months and adjust as needed
Avoid contact with sharp objects
When not in use for extended periods: wash, dry, fill with proper compressed air, and store in cool, dry, ventilated areas
Keep away from heat sources, acids, alkalis, oils, and greases
