Description:
Distilled Monoglycerides, commonly known as DMG, is an organic molecule used as an emulsifier. DMG is a white, odorless, and sweet-tasting flaky powder that is hygroscopic. It is a glycerol ester of stearic acid. It occurs naturally in the body as a by-product of the breakdown of fats, and is also found in fatty foods.
DMG can also used as a thickening, emulsifying, anti-caking, and preservative agent, an emulsifying agent for oils, waxes, and solvents; a protective coating for hygroscopic powders; a solidifier and control release agent in pharmaceuticals; and a resin lubricant. It is also used in cosmetics and hair care products.

Applications:
1. It is used in candy, chocolate to prevent the separations between oil and water and avoid the sand sugar to crystallize. It can increase the exquisite feeling.
2. It is used in ice cream made smooth texture, the exquisite feeling, and shape retain of cold food.
3. It makes margarine as the dispersing medium and stability in water nicely.
4. It is used in bread to improve the construction of tissue, augment storage life and increase the
soft feeling and pliability.
5. As cosmetics additive ideal-type is widely used in sunscreen cream, face esters, skin brightener. Products can paste and smooth, stable homogeneous.
6. As plastic additive, DMG is necessary for many thermoplastic plastic, particulary for polyolefine as anti-shrinking agent, antistatic agent and release agent.
