A Closed Suction System with the possibility of cleaning the catheter without lavage, hence without respiration interruption. The catheter is isolated from the trachea with triple-swivel and vac control.

A whole range of problems are encountered during long-term ventilation in everyday hospital practice. We have developed the OptiFlo closed suction system in order to make ventilation especially safe and hygienic, both for patient and nursing staff.
Ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP) is a hospital acquired disease, which can be efficiently fought when applying certain strategies. It has a significant impact on patient’s health, length of stay and hospital cost. Closed suction greatly reduces the potential for contamination from the bacteria which cause VAP. Maintaining a closed breathing system is part of the ventilator care bundle, designed to reduce the incidence of VAP in the hospital.
Closed suction enables a clinician to clear the lungs of secretions whilst maintaining ventilation and minimising contamination with the least possible disruption to the patient.
-The Closed Suction System is a suctioning device to remove secretions from patients receiving mechanical ventilation.
-Soft and smooth blue suction tip. This design reduces damage to mucous membranes.
-Prevent cross infection. The PU protective sleeve can protect the caregivers from infection.
-Allow the patients' breath - mechanical ventilation and suctioning simultaneously.
-Easy operation in suction process by being equipped with a wedge to disconnect and clip functions.
-Color coded rings provide fast recognition.
-Available for tracheostomy tubes. The suction catheters match tracheostomy tubes, of which different lengths are available. The catheters are marked with accurate depth to understand the proper catheter insertion in the tracheal.
