The Drager 8416203 is a Flow Sensor Sleeve, a maintenance accessory designed for neonatal ventilators. It is primarily used to secure the flow sensor within the breathing circuit and ensure accurate flow measurement.
►Features
Fixing the Flow Sensor Core: Securely positions the flow sensor within the ventilator's breathing circuit interface, preventing displacement caused by continuous airflow and ensuring stable airflow through the measurement channel
Leak Prevention: The elastic silicone rubber fills assembly gaps, preventing gas leaks from the sensor mounting location. Leaks would significantly deviate the ventilator's calculated tidal volume and interfere with neonatal ventilation parameter adjustments
Vibration Buffering: Absorbs vibrations generated during equipment operation and transport, reducing the risk of flow measurement drift and maintaining consistent flow monitoring accuracy
Condensation Prevention: Prevents condensate from the breathing circuit from entering the sensor assembly gaps, reducing data fluctuations and equipment alarms caused by water accumulation
Reusability: The elastic silicone material allows repeated disassembly and replacement of the disposable sensor core. The sleeve does not need to be replaced with each sensor core, reducing long-term maintenance and consumable costs for the department
