What causes the handpiece to rapidly lose impact power or "stall" mid-procedure?

This is almost always caused by one of three things:

1. Internal O-Ring Wear: Frictional wear on the internal sealing rings allows gas to bypass the projectile, destroying the pressure differential required for rapid movement.

2. Debris Accumulation: Microscopic metal shavings or mineral deposits from autoclaving blocking the internal cylinder pathways.

3. Deformed Projectile: Over time, the repeated metal-on-metal impact can cause the internal projectile to deform or "mushroom," causing it to catch or drag inside the cylinder.
