The cutting edges are fortified with a high-performance electroplating coating, significantly enhancing hardness, wear resistance, and heat dissipation. This results in extended tool life, faster cutting speeds, and superior hole quality. We specialize in processing customization, offering a wide range of sizes, point angles, and configurations to meet your exact application requirements, from standard drilling to specialized hole opener applications for enlarging or deburring existing holes.
Tool Body: High-Grade Alloy Steel. This provides the necessary toughness and strength to withstand high-torque applications without breaking.
Cutting Edge / Working Surface: Electroplated with a layer of ultra-hard material, typically Micro-Grain Diamond or Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN). This coating is what allows the tool to effectively cut into hardened 17-4PH stainless steel.
Compatible Material: Specifically optimized for drilling and enlarging holes in 17-4PH (ASTM 630) Stainless Steel in its H900, H1025, and other hardened conditions. Also effective on other stainless steels, Inconel, titanium, and hardened tool steels.
