Manufactured from corrosion-resistant 304 or 316L stainless steel, it is ideal for ophthalmic, dermatological, and other microsurgical applications requiring exceptional control and tissue preservation.

Product Processing

  1. Material Selection & Tubing Preparation: Medical-grade 304 or 316L stainless steel tubing is precision-drawn to the required outer and inner diameter. The tube is cut to length and straightened.

  2. Forming the Flat Section (if applicable): A specific segment of the needle shaft may be precision-ground or pressed to create a flat surface. This "flat" provides a visual and tactile reference for the surgeon to orient the cutting edges.

  3. Three-Edge Tip Grinding (Core Process): The distal end is ground using a specialized CNC grinding process. The grinder creates three equally spaced longitudinal facets (cutting edges) that meet at a sharp central apex. The angles and symmetry of these edges are precisely controlled. This is distinct from a simple bevel; it's a true multi-faceted cutting point.

  4. Honing & Deburring: The three cutting edges are carefully honed to razor sharpness. Any micro-burrs are removed to ensure clean cutting action.

  5. Surface Finishing: The entire needle, especially the complex tip geometry, undergoes electropolishing. This achieves a mirror-smooth, passive surface that minimizes tissue drag and enhances corrosion resistance.

  6. Hub Attachment & Marking (Optional): A Luer lock hub or other connector may be attached. The flat section (if present) is often marked (e.g., with a laser) to correlate with the orientation of the cutting edges.

  7. 100% Inspection & Sterilization: Each needle is microscopically inspected for tip symmetry, edge sharpness, and dimensional accuracy. It is then cleaned, packaged, and sterilized (e.g., via Gamma irradiation or autoclaving for reusable versions).
