304 Stainless Steel Sheet Laser Cutting for Medical Spare Parts with Sandblasting and Bending is a specialized, full-cycle precision manufacturing service dedicated to producing high-integrity components for the medical equipment and device industry. We start with certified 304 stainless steel sheets, use high-precision fiber laser cutting to achieve complex, burr-free profiles, apply a controlled medical-grade sandblasting for a uniform, cleanable surface finish, and perform accurate CNC bending to form three-dimensional parts. This integrated process ensures components meet stringent requirements for dimensional accuracy, surface cleanliness, corrosion resistance, and durability, making them ideal for non-implantable medical hardware, instrument housings, brackets, and structural supports.

Product Processing

Our medical-focused manufacturing process emphasizes precision, cleanliness, and traceability at every stage.

  1. Controlled Material Handling & Programming: Certified 304 stainless steel sheets (with full material traceability) are handled in a clean environment. CAD files are programmed with precision toolpaths optimized for medical part accuracy and material conservation.

  2. High-Precision Medical Laser Cutting: A high-power fiber laser with fine-focused beam and high-pressure assist gas cuts the components. This ensures minimal heat input, extremely fine kerf widths, and edges with negligible thermal distortion or oxidation, critical for fit and function.

  3. Post-Cut Cleaning & Deburring: Parts undergo an initial cleaning to remove cutting residues. Edges are meticulously deburred using medical-approved methods (vibratory, electrochemical, or manual) to achieve smooth, safe, and particulate-free edges.

  4. Medical-Grade Sandblasting (Passivation Preparation): Components are sandblasted in a controlled booth using designated, contaminant-free media (e.g., high-purity aluminum oxide or glass bead). This achieves a consistent, matte finish that enhances cleanability, removes all surface impurities, and provides an ideal surface for subsequent passivation.

  5. Chemical Passivation: Following sandblasting, parts undergo a rigorous chemical passivation process per ASTM A967 (typically nitric or citric acid) to remove free iron and maximize the natural corrosion resistance of the 304 stainless steel surface.

  6. Precision CNC Bending: Passivated parts are bent on a CNC press brake with clean, dedicated tooling. Bending sequences and tooling are designed to avoid marring the finished surface. Protective films may be used.

  7. Final Cleaning, Inspection & Packaging: A final ultrasonic or precision cleaning ensures no residues. 100% dimensional inspection (CMM or gauge) and visual quality checks are performed. Parts are packaged in clean, sealed bags within an ISO Class 7 (or better) cleanroom environment.
