Product Description

The 304 Stainless Steel CNC Milled Threaded Spray/Liquid Dispensing Needle is a precision-engineered fluid delivery component manufactured from solid 304 stainless steel using advanced CNC machining techniques. Unlike capillary tubing-based needles, this needle is milled from bar stock, allowing for greater design freedom and structural integrity. It features precision-machined external or internal threads for secure mounting and a meticulously crafted internal channel and tip orifice designed to create a specific spray pattern or liquid stream. This robust construction makes it ideal for high-pressure, high-precision, or demanding industrial and medical dispensing applications.

Product Processing

  1. Material Preparation: Selection of certified 304 stainless steel round bar stock.

  2. CNC Turning (Primary): Machining the outer profile, shoulders, and preliminary shaping on a CNC lathe.

  3. Thread Milling/Turning: Precision cutting of external (e.g., M6x1, 1/4-28 UNF) or internal threads for connection.

  4. Internal Channel Drilling & Shaping: Deep, precise drilling to create the fluid passage. This may involve gun drilling for very small, deep holes.

  5. Orifice/Nozzle Tip CNC Milling: The most critical step. Using micro-tools on a high-precision CNC mill to shape the final discharge orifice (e.g., conical, cylindrical, fan-shaped) and any internal features that define the spray pattern.

  6. Deburring & Polishing: Meticulous removal of all internal and external burrs. Polishing of the internal fluid path and orifice to minimize turbulence and pressure drop.

  7. Surface Finishing: Passivation (ASTM A967) is standard. Electropolishing of internal passages is a common enhancement.

  8. Cleaning, Inspection & Testing: Ultrasonic cleaning. 100% dimensional inspection. Sample lot or 100% flow/pressure/spray pattern testing.
