Product Description

The 316L Stainless Steel Capillary Medical Spray/Liquid Jet Needle Tube with Ground Bevel and Marking is a high-precision, single-use or reusable component designed for controlled, targeted fluid delivery in medical and laboratory procedures. Fabricated from biocompatible 316L stainless steel capillary tubing, it features a precision-ground bevel at the distal end to create a sharp, consistent orifice for spray formation or precise liquid jetting. The proximal end is configured for secure connection (e.g., Luer lock). A permanent laser marking is applied for identification (e.g., gauge, lot number). The combination of a finely ground tip, a smooth internal lumen, and a durable, corrosion-resistant material makes it ideal for applications requiring reliable, consistent, and clean fluid dispersion.

Product Processing

  1. Material Selection & Tubing Preparation: Medical-grade 316L stainless steel capillary tubing is selected, cut to precise lengths, and the internal lumen is verified for cleanliness and consistency.

  2. Bevel Grinding & Orifice Forming (Core Process): The distal tip undergoes precision grinding on a specialized CNC micro-grinder. This process creates a sharp, specific bevel angle (e.g., 15°, 30°) that defines the spray/jet characteristics. For spray needles, the very tip may be further shaped or have a micro-orifice drilled.

  3. Proximal End Machining & Hub Assembly: The proximal end is machined or fitted with a standard medical connector, most commonly a female Luer lock hub (ISO 80369-7 compliant). This is attached via medical-grade adhesive, press-fit, or welding.

  4. Deburring & Surface Finishing: The ground bevel edge and internal/external surfaces are meticulously deburred and polished. The entire component undergoes electropolishing to achieve a ultra-smooth, passive, and contaminant-free surface critical for fluid flow and biocompatibility.

  5. Laser Marking: A fiber laser is used to apply permanent, clear markings. This typically includes the needle gauge (OD), length, and a lot or part number. Marking is done post-finishing to ensure durability.

  6. Cleaning, Sterilization & Packaging: The needle undergoes validated cleaning processes (ultrasonic, etc.) to meet stringent cleanliness standards. It is then packaged and terminally sterilized via Gamma irradiation or Ethylene Oxide (ETO) for single-use applications, or packaged non-sterile for user sterilization (autoclaving).
