The NVIDIA® MFA1A00-E030 is a high-performance QSFP28 Active Optical Cable (AOC) designed for 100Gb/s InfiniBand EDR and Ethernet applications. This fiber optic cable delivers reliable, high-speed data transmission over multimode fiber (MMF) with a reach of up to 30 meters, making it ideal for data center interconnects, high-performance computing, and enterprise networking.
The MFA1A00-E030 leverages VCSEL-based optical technology and complies with industry standards including SFF-8665, SFF-8636, and IEEE 802.3bm. It supports programmable input equalization, output pre-emphasis, and per-lane retiming for optimized signal integrity.
The Active Optical Cable converts electrical signals into optical signals via integrated VCSEL transmitters. These signals are transmitted over multimode fiber and converted back to electrical signals at the receiving end. Built-in CDR (Clock and Data Recovery) ensures low jitter and high signal fidelity.
