The Mellanox MMA2P00-AS is a high-performance SFP28 optical transceiver designed for 25 Gigabit Ethernet applications. The MMA2P00-AS optical transceiver complies with SFF-8402, SFF-8472, and IEEE 802.3bm standards. It supports both 25GbE and 10GbE rates with rate selection via CDR control. This fiber optic transceiver uses advanced DSP technology for signal integrity and error-free transmission.
The transceiver converts electrical signals into optical signals using a 850nm VCSEL laser. The signal is transmitted over multi-mode fiber and converted back to electrical signals at the receiving end. Built-in retiming and equalization features ensure minimal jitter and signal degradation.
