• Construction: Membrane keypads consist of multiple layers, including a flexible top layer that contains printed graphics and a bottom layer with conductive traces. When a key is pressed, the top layer makes contact with the bottom layer, completing an electrical circuit.

• Tactile Feedback: Many membrane keypads incorporate metal domes that provide tactile and audio feedback when a key is pressed. This feature enhances user experience by confirming that the input has been registered.

• Durability: Membrane keypads are designed for longevity, with a typical lifespan of around 1 million touches. This makes them suitable for applications that require frequent use.

• Adhesive Backing: Most membrane keypads come with an adhesive backing, allowing them to be easily affixed to various surfaces. This feature simplifies installation and ensures a secure fit.

• Applications: Due to their low cost and simple design, membrane keypads are widely used in industrial settings, consumer electronics, and various control panels. They are particularly popular in devices that require minimal input, such as remote controls and appliances.
