This is a flanged cast steel globe valve, belonging to industrial valve equipment.

This globe valve is made of cast steel (marked "WCB"), possessing good strength and temperature and pressure resistance. It is suitable for pipeline systems in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and power, used to control the flow of fluids. The blue handwheel on the top of the valve facilitates manual operation; rotating the handwheel raises or lowers the valve disc, thereby opening or closing the pipeline.

Working principle of globe valve

The working principle of a flanged cast steel globr valve is to control the opening and closing of the pipeline by raising and lowering the valve disc. The specific process is as follows: When the top handwheel is turned, the valve stem drives the valve disc to move up and down along the valve seat axis.

Open state: The valve disc moves upward, away from the valve seat sealing surface, allowing fluid in the pipeline to flow through the annular channel between the valve disc and the valve seat, thus enabling media flow.

Closed state: The valve disc moves downward, tightly fitting against the valve seat sealing surface, blocking the fluid flow path, thereby closing the pipeline.

Its sealing performance depends on the precise fit between the valve disc and the valve seat. The strength and pressure resistance of the cast steel material allow it to adapt to high-temperature and high-pressure industrial pipeline environments, and it is commonly used for fluid control in the petroleum, chemical, and power industries.
