Sliding headstock turning from 0.5mm to 20mm diameter for stainless steel pins, bushings, contacts and micro shaft components.
On a conventional lathe, a 2mm pin that is 40mm long bends away from the tool and the diameter drifts along its length. A sliding headstock machine feeds the bar through a guide bushing so the cut always happens within a few millimetres of the support point. The result is a straight, concentric part with a repeatable diameter, even at a length to diameter ratio of 10:1.
Parts are machined complete in one cycle, including turning, drilling, cross milling, slotting and thread whirling, which removes secondary operations and the stacking tolerance that comes with them.

Stainless steel 303, 304, 316L, 17-4PH and 440C; free cutting brass C36000; beryllium copper; titanium Grade 5; aluminum 6061 and 7075; engineering plastics POM, PEEK, PTFE and PPS. Material certificates are archived by heat number for each batch.
Passivation, electropolishing, nickel and gold plating, black oxide, PVD coating, anodizing and laser marking. Stress relief and hardening up to 58 HRC are arranged with certified subcontractors, with hardness reports included.
Parts are degreased, dried and packed in anti-static bags or blister trays by quantity, then into labelled cartons with desiccant. Small pins are counted and weight verified twice before sealing.
