The bending strength figure is the practical result of 6063-T5 tempering and the die-cast manufacturing process. In pipe rack applications, higher bending strength means fewer support braces are needed, which simplifies the assembly and reduces the total number of connector parts required per frame.
Aluminium weighs approximately one-third of steel.
