GENY’s meter test systems adopt the most advanced electronic measurement technique, and modular concept, combining the different reference standards and power amplifiers to satisfy customers’ requirements in electric energy meter manufacturers, electric power utilities, metrology laboratories, measuring and quality examining departments, and factories or enterprises.

The MTS is a full-automatic test system for calibration and verification of three-phase electric energy meters, which composes of:

 

  • Three-phase static power source
  • Three-phase reference standard meter
  • Meter automatic suspension test rack
  • Other necessary parts
  • PC and software controlling the whole system

 

The YC1893D series meter test systems is fully compliant with the IEC 60736 standard and is suitable for testing meters according to the following standards:

 

  • IEC 62052-11 and IEC 62053-11, -21, -22, -23, -24
  • IEC 62056
  • EN 50470-1, EN 50470-2, EN-50470-3
  • IEC 61010

Features and functions

The MTS (Meter Test System) is equipped with essential features for precise electricity meter testing:

  1. RS232 Communication: Enables testing of smart meters via a parallel communication port.
  2. Rack Calibration: Provides terminals for bench verification and calibration of three-phase energy meters, including those from Landis+Gyr.
  3. IEC Compliance: Conducts accuracy tests in line with IEC standards.
  4. Meter Tests: Includes no-load, starting current, and error repeatability tests.
  5. Additional Features: Offers clock frequency accuracy, maximum demand, and influence quantity tests, as well as harmonic and sub-harmonic assessments.
  6. Custom Features: Includes automated wiring, automatic short circuit function, a custom quick connection device (QCD) for Landis+Gyr meters, and PC software for ESAM testing.
