2. Working principle of hydraulic retaining wheel of rotary kiln Castings And Forgings

Although there is no big fault in the hydraulic system, poor treatment may also cause kiln shutdown and production reduction. Analysis of the reasons for the failure of the hydraulic wheel system in rotary kiln:

(1) The retaining wheel is improperly installed and the surface contact is poor

When installing the retaining wheel, the center line of the retaining wheel is required to coincide with the longitudinal center line of the kiln body; Only in this way, the pure rolling friction between the wheel belt and the retaining wheel surface is ideal. Once the center line of the retaining wheel deviates greatly from the longitudinal center line of the kiln body, the friction force in the upward and downward directions will be generated on the surface of the retaining wheel, resulting in the displacement of the retaining wheel, the fracture of the upper gland bolt under excessive stress, or even the failure of the whole retaining wheel. When the retaining wheel is close to the rotary direction of the kiln body, the rotation of the wheel belt will produce downward friction on the surface of the retaining wheel, so that the thrust bearing at the bottom is overstressed and fails.

Rotary kiln, on the other hand, usually some slope when installation requirements, so the hydraulic gear wheel base also have corresponding installation Angle, such gear wheel and belting leather on the height direction of contact to reach more than 90%, and once the Angle deviation is bigger, the contact surface will appear only in the upper or lower would be less than 50% of the area, thus affecting shaft bending distance; Torque and other stress conditions cause shaft failure; The wheel belt and the retaining wheel surface due to uneven processing or wear will cause bad meshing, resulting in impact damage to the shaft.

(2) The bolts of foundation plate are too small

Generally in the design of the retaining wheel are considered to calculate and check the force of the retaining wheel and the base plate connecting bolt group, but may ignore the base plate foundation bolt checking or the safety factor is small.

(3) The interference of the shaft hole of the retaining wheel is small

The baffle wheel and the shaft use a flat key interference connection, in order to prevent the baffle wheel axial channeling, the upper part of six anti-loosening bolts; The matching tolerance of the retaining wheel and solid shaft is selected according to the load transferred by the retaining wheel; According to the calculation of retaining wheel shaft hole matching theory selection; Once the actual interference is less than this value, the pressure on the mating surface will be too small to meet the working conditions under this working condition, resulting in relative sliding between the shaft holes, and the torsion force will act directly on the key, so that the torque transferred by the interference fit of the shaft hole will be changed into the torque transferred together with the key. Under impact load, especially when the key is also selected relatively loose fit can not meet the requirements of use, it is easy to cause rolling key, block wheel and other fault phenomenon.

(4) axis class itself

Shaft parts once improper material selection, may lead to its own mechanical properties can not meet the requirements of use; Improper processing or heat treatment may lead to stress concentration or crack source, which can easily lead to cracking failure. Rapid heating and cooling during welding repair will change the toughness of the matrix, and if the residual stress can not be eliminated well, it is easy to cause crack failure.
