Chain Conveyors Widely Used In Mining Metallurgy Chemical Industry Foundry
Chain conveyors are commonly used conveying equipment in the industrial sector, widely applied in production lines in mining, metallurgy, chemical, foundry, and building materials industries. They are also suitable for material transfer in production departments such as hydropower plant construction sites and ports.
Among them, synchronous chain conveyors play an important role in various assembly and conveying lines due to the synchronous movement characteristics of their two chains. In comparison, belt conveyors have gained favor with many users due to their advantages of large conveying capacity, long conveying distance, and low energy consumption. However, their application scenarios are somewhat limited by the drawback that the conveyor belt cannot bend in a plane.
Taking coal mining transportation as an example, the underground geological conditions are complex and variable. If the transportation tunnel encounters a fault, it must be bent, which means that long-distance transportation systems can only be broken down into multiple segments, relying on multiple belt conveyors or scraper conveyors connected in series to complete the material transportation task. In open-pit coal mines, iron mines, and other locations, the mining area constantly changes with the mining process, making it difficult for the conveyor belt to maintain a straight layout, often requiring the use of costly truck transportation.
The advent of the new generation of laterally movable and bendable belt conveyors effectively solves this industry problem. This equipment has a bending radius of up to 4.5 meters, and a single unit can replace multiple belt conveyors and scraper conveyors, achieving integrated belt transportation throughout the entire process of underground mining and open-pit mining.
From a working principle perspective, bendable belt conveyors are consistent with traditional belt conveyors, both relying on friction transmission to drive the conveyor belt. These conveyors not only retain the advantages of large conveying capacity, long conveying distance, and stable operation, but also allow materials to move synchronously with the conveyor belt, avoiding relative friction and significantly reducing operating noise; at the same time, their structure is simple, maintenance is convenient, energy consumption is low, and the core components have been standardized, further improving the practicality and economy of the equipment.
