Brief Introduction

1. Hydrocyclone is a kind of equipment used for grading the ore pulp by using centrifugal force. Lacking of motion and power unit, it needs to match with relevant slime pump. It is mainly used in ore dressing industries for grading, separating, concentrating and desliming.

2. Hydrocyclone shows the features such as low equipment cost, easy assembling and disassembling, convenient maintenance, less area covers and low cost of construction. In addition, there are some other advantages like large capacity of unit volume, treatment, fine separation size, high grading efficiency, the time and quantity of the ore pulp that staying in the cyclone is short and small. Working principle Of Ore Dressing Equipment

External swirl and internal swirl: After the pulp enters the cyclone along the tangential direction through the feed pipe, it rotates from top to bottom under the limitation of the cylinder wall, forming an external swirl. The solid particles in the external swirling flow move towards the vessel wall under the action of centrifugal force. The particles that reach the vicinity of the wall move downward along the wall and are discharged at the bottom outlet. The separated and purified liquid continues to rotate downward. After entering the conical section, its speed increases due to the reduction of the inner diameter. As the radial pressure distribution is uneven, a low-pressure area or even a vacuum area is formed at the axis. The liquid tends to move towards the axis direction. At the same time, due to the reduction of the underflow outlet, part of the liquid is discharged from the overflow outlet, forming an upward internal swirling flow.

Other flow patterns: There are also short-circuit flow, circulating flow and other flow patterns. Short-circuit flow refers to the two-phase fluid fed into the hydrocyclone. One part first rises, then moves inward along the lower surface of the top cover, and then moves downward along the outer wall of the vortex overflow pipe. Finally, it converges with the inner vortex and is discharged from the overflow port of the overflow pipe. Without the separation effect, it directly affects the separation effect. The circulating flow is a two-phase fluid that migrates from the external swirling flow to the internal swirling flow in the form of a spiral vortex. As the overflow port of the overflow pipe cannot fully discharge it in time, it circulates in the space between the vortex overflow pipe of the cyclone and the wall of the cyclone.
