Conductors: Three high-purity platinum wires (or one platinum wire with two nickel or copper dumet wires, depending on design and length). The three wires connect to one end of the platinum element to allow 3-wire measurement.
Insulation: Compacted MgO fills the space between conductors and sheath.
Sheath: Seamless stainless steel tube (6mm OD). Common grades are SS304 (general purpose) or SS316 (better corrosion resistance).
Sensor End: The cable tip is welded closed, and the platinum element is formed at the tip.
Connection End: The three conductors are brought out into a terminal head or connection box to be wired to a transmitter or PLC.
